Convining the experience from our 9 years installing roofs and 6 years doing service repairs we have learned the most common causes for a roof to fail and we transfer all that experience to our installation proccess.
We have set installation standards that are above the average roofing company. For example, we always replace the flashing system on walls and chimneys unless is on like new condition as manufacturers specified, also we avoid the exessive use of caulking on roof jacks or roof accessories.
We know nails tempt to pop up when are used to secure exposed metal flashing or roof accessories like we show on the photo at the right. For that reason, we only use rubber washered screws that will hold in place for the entire roof life.
We have found that 90% of the roof problems are related to improperly installations and the other 10% is related to the performance of other trades in direct relation to the roof system, for example when painters-masonry and siding contractors secured their equitment a lot of times they left unsealed nail holes behind. that resulted in damages and future leaks.
For us those small details determine if a roof would be problem free or if it would be failing in the second year. We truly believe in our installation standards, and we stand behind every roof we replace or fix.
